日本では今回の中越大地震ばかりでなく、各地で起きた水害や、近々予想される東南海地震、また決して低い確率ではない東京直下型地震など、いまやどの地域でどんな災害が起こっても不思議ではない状況にあります。それぞれ個人で防災の意識を高める必要がありそうだ。地元の自民党県議は「選挙に出るなら分かるが、なぜカネ集めのパーティーが必要なのか理解できない。出馬もしないのに『チャレンジ』というのもおかしい」と疑問を呈している。日本では今回の中越大地震ばかりでなく、各地で起きた水害や、近々予想される東南海地震、また決して低い確率ではない東京直下型地震など、いまやどの地域でどんな災害が起こっても不思議ではない状況にあります。それぞれ個人で防災の意識を高める必要がありそうだ。個人記録の追加記載はプログラムの開発が必要なため、早々に見送られた。現時点では、記録の抜け落ちた期間を確認するための手引（見本）を同封する案などにとどまっている。
